A Palm Springs home once owned by Cher sold Monday, Oct. 18 for $3.25 million.

The sale price is 12% over the initial $2.895 million sought when it hit the market in August.

“The property actually was in contract on the seventh day that it was active on the market,” listing agent Maurice P. Minno of Bennion Deville Homes said in an email. “The accepted offer was the strongest of the two very strong offers that I had received.”

Four bedrooms, five bathrooms and 4,015 square feet of living space comprise the 1938 Spanish -style residence in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood, thanks to Cher. The pop icon doubled its footprint after dropping $650,000 for the home in 2004 under a limited liability company, property records and a 2007 article about the redesign in the Los Angeles Times show.

Records also show she flipped it in 2007 for $1.95 million.

Features include a primary bedroom suite anchored by a corner fireplace. A lounge, wet bar, two walk-in closets and a large bathroom add to the suite.

The house has a great room, gourmet kitchen and media room.

Outside, there’s a saltwater pool, spa and built-in barbecue island.

Gary Howell of Bennion Deville Homes represented the buyer.
