At least four people were shot, including a 5-year-old child in the back, in the Vermont Square neighborhood, southwest of Exposition Park Tuesday, authorities said Tuesday.
The shooting occurred at approximately 8 p.m. near the intersection of 47th Street and Raymond Avenue, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
At least four people were taken to the hospital with injuries, the LAFD said, with four ambulances used to transport the four patients.
A 5-year-old was shot in the back and an adult was shot in the hip, with another shooting reported a couple blocks over near the intersection of 47th Street and Kansas Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., Newschopper4 Bravo observed police tape at a children’s playground at Vermont Square Park, with LAPD officers visible at the scene.
