A brush fire is burning Tuesday in Angeles National Forest on a day of scorching heat in Southern California.

Mount Baldy Road and the Claremont Wilderness Park were closed due to the fire, which spread to brush after a car fire.

There were no reports of injuries or damage. No structures are threatened, according to the county fire department.
