A suspicious death investigation is underway Wednesday after two people were found dead inside a car in Ventura County.

A man called the police around 7:30 p.m. after pulling next to the car and spotting the two bodies, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department (VCSD).

The vehicle was located along PCH near Vista Point.

Deputies with VCSD located some suspicious factors, prompting a major crimes unit to take over the investigation.

Details on what caused the deaths were not immediately available.

The area in Point Mugu was closed off as authorities continue their investigation.
