Up for grabs for $2.35 million is a 1956 Studio City home owned by the actor and filmmaker Adam Arkin, director of Paramount Plus’s “The Offer.
The new limited series dramatizes the making of Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 gangster film, “The Godfather.”
Arkin, 65, bought the three-bedroom, 2,199-square-foot house that sits nestled on more than 1-acre of Coldwater Canyon in December 1997 for $740,000, property records show. He’s restored it over the years.
The house has a light, airy interior with an open floorplan in soft neutrals and an abundance of windows. It combines the family room and dining area with the kitchen whose white counters, tiled backsplash and stainless steel appliances wrap around a blue center island with a white countertop.
A brick fireplace painted white anchors the family room.
There’s a formal living room.
Design elements include tile and hardwood floors. French doors open out to a bougainvillea-covered terrace.
The grounds also feature a pool and spa surrounded by a well-tended garden with citrus trees and roses.
Barry Dantagnan of Coldwell Banker Realty and Ron de Salvo of Compass share the listing.
Arkin has appeared on stage and screen. He is known for the role of Dr. Aaron Shutt on CBS’s “Chicago Hope” (1994-2000), He’s also directed various episodes of TV shows, including the final two episodes of Season 2 of “Fargo” (2015) based on the Joel and Ethan Coen film of the same name. He directs “The Offer” based on film producer Albert Ruddy’s behind-the-scenes experience to bring Mario Puzo’s best-selling crime novel to the big screen.
“The Offer” stars Miles Teller as Ruddy, Dan Fogler as Coppola and Patrick Gallo as Puzo. It streams new episodes Thursdays on Paramount Plus.
