Ten-time Grammy Award-winner Taylor Swift will be honored at the 2019 “Teen Choice Awards” with its first-ever Icon Award Saturday, Aug. 11, in Hermosa Beach.

It’s the first time the beach town has hosted the event, which will air 8-10 p.m. live in EDT markets but tape-delayed on FOX in the Pacific time zone.

As one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with more than 50 million albums sold, Swift is a pop culture icon whose accolades and achievements go beyond topping music charts and selling out stadiums worldwide.

Swift is also one of today’s biggest social media influencers, using her voice and platform to inspire and create positive change.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Swift and Ariana Grande will be the top contenders at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, each scoring 10 nominations.

MTV announced Tuesday that Grande and Swift will compete in eight of the same categories, including video of the year.

Swift’s gay-pride anthem “You Need to Calm Down” and Grande’s breezy hit about her breakups “thank u, next” are nominated for the top prize alongside Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy,” Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road,” 21 Savage and J. Cole’s “A Lot,” and “Sucker,” by fellow Teen Choice honorees the Jonas Brothers.

The Jonas Brothers were nominated for the VMAs’ Artist of the Year, with the hit “Sucker” running for awards in the Best Pop, Song of the Year, and Video of the Year categories.

The band — comprised of Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas —  will receive the Decade Award at the Teen Choice event in Hermosa.
