An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday for a 38-year-old man and missing 3-year-old child last seen in Los Angeles.

Joshua Pendleton and Messiah Evans were last seen on 66th Street and Normandy Avenue at approximately 10 p.m. Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department. The Amber Alert was issued for Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties

Authorities said Pendleton abducted the child. He was identified by police as the ex-boyfriend of the child’s mother. 

Authorities released photos of the man, child and SUV sought in connection with the alert.

Pendleton is Black, 5-feet-11 inches tall, weighs 265 pounds, and has black hair and hazel eyes. Messiah is Black, 3-feet tall, weighs 50 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a burgundy onesie.

Authorities say Pendleton was believed to be driving a white 2006 Saturn VUE with a license plate number 5SHE918.

Anyone who sees either of them was asked to call 911.
