The pilot of a small plane was killed when the aircraft crashed into a residential neighborhood in Riverside on Saturday, according to the Riverside Police Department.

The twin-engine plane was flying from Chino to Apple Valley. The pilot reported engine issues before crashing into a residential backyard near the intersection of Arlington Ave. and Norwood Ave at around 11:50 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration. No one inside the house was injured, police said.

The pilot was the plane’s only passenger, the FAA said.
