Rio Hondo America’s Job Center of California will hold an orientation on Tuesday, Jan. 14 to provide an overview of agency’s no-cost employment and training services.

The session will be held at 2 p.m. at the center, 10400 Pioneer Blvd. in Santa Fe Springs. It targets local young adults ages 18 to 24.

The AJCC offers several career tracks that can help job seekers. They include:

  • Direct placement: This include Level 1 work experience and Level 2 paid internships that often lead to direct hires with many local employers.
  • Vocational training: The AJCC can pay for vocational training for those looking to become nursing assistants or CLASS A truck drivers, among other careers.
  • College enrollment – AJCC career planners can help with registration and enrollment, class selection and applying for financial aid.

All services are paid for by the U.S. Department of Labor through the County of Los Angeles Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS), so there is no cost to job seekers.

For more information, call AJCC Recruitment Specialist Eddie Hernandez at 562-454-3828 or contact him via email at hernandez@riohondoajcc.org.
