Officers responded Friday to a report of a person armed with a gun at a Universal City apartment complex.
Nearby streets were closed for police activity near James Stewart Avenue and Valleyheart Drive, near the NBCUniversal Studio lot. Streets reopened just before 4 p.m.
Police initially received a report of someone who shattered a car window near the block of apartments. That same person was reportedly armed with a handgun, police said.
Video showed what appeared to be a BMW with a damaged windshield on a street near the apartments.
No arrests were reported Friday afternoon.
