As labor shortages continue to impact Southern California, the Irwindale Chamber of Commerce and city of Irwindale have partnered to host a Community Picnic and Local Hire Job Fair on Thursday June 16 at Irwindale Speedway.

The event, which runs from noon to 4 p.m., will help the chamber’s member businesses fill their staffing needs. The job fair will feature more than 20 local small, medium and large businesses from the San Gabriel Valley that have immediate openings.

Employers will include Yellow Iron Investments, Bonduelle Ready Pac, Athens Services, Foothill Transit, United Rock Products, Decore-ative Specialties and Absolute International Security, among others.

The job fair targets local Irwindale residents but is open to job seekers in the greater San Gabriel Valley area and beyond. Applicants are encouraged to bring current resumes.

Irwindale Speedway is located at 500 Irwindale Speedway Dr., Irwindale. Attendees can register at  irwindalechamber.org/community-picnic.
