The Home Depot is hiring more than 5,150 part-time and full-time positions in the greater Los Angeles area as the company gears up for its busy spring season.

Flexible, full-time and part-time openings are available in customer service/sales, store support, freight, merchandising and warehouse operations. Home Depot has an accelerated hiring process, which means job seekers could receive an offer within one day of applying, the company said.

Home Depot didn’t reveal what the various jobs pay, but data from indeed.com show Home Depot sales clerks average $14.03 an hour, warehouse workers average $15.78 an hour and merchandisers average $25,350 a year. California’s minimum wage for larger companies rose to $15 hourly on Jan. 1.

The home improvement chain offers a wide range of health and personal benefits, including tuition reimbursement, a performance-based cash bonus program, paid family leave, back-up dependent care, a 401(k) savings plan and a discounted company stock purchase program.

Over the last three years, the company said its employees received more than $1 billion in Success Sharing awards. That program provides semi-annual cash awards for employee performance, based on sales and productivity goals.

Home Depot posted $16.4 billion in net earnings for fiscal 2021, up from $12.9 billion a year earlier. Craig Menear, the company’s chairman and CEO, said Home Depot’s ability to grow its business by more than $40 billion over the last two years is “a testament to investments we have made in the business, our ability to execute with agility, and our associates’ relentless focus on our customers.”
