A standoff and a deputy-involved shooting took place in Palmdale Saturday night, authorities said.
Deputies responded to a service call on 9:20 p.m. in the 4000 block of Karling Place, and a deputy involved shooting transpired, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
A deputy fired, but it was not immediately clear if the other person involved also fired, the LASD said. The LASD said it no deputies were struck by gunfire, but iw as not immediately clear if the other person involved was injured.
A person involved in the shooting was inside a residence and a standoff was still ongoing as of 10:45 p.m., LASD said. It was not immediately clear if any other people were inside the home.
