In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Los Angeles’ Southside Church of Christ hosted a free rapid pop-up COVID-19 testing event on Monday, Jan. 18.
During the pop-up, a virtual fireside chat was held with community members and local businesses to discuss King’s legacy and its enduring importance on the day that annual holiday that honors the civil rights pioneer.
Each participant was given a “COVID survival gift bag” and meals provided by Chick-fil-A, My Daddy’s Recipes and Sprouts.
The event was co-sponsored by myCovidMD, an APP and web service than seeks to connects resident to resources during the coronavirus public health crisis.
