Police responded to a report of a shooting Tuesday afternoon in a Granada Hills neighborhood.

The shooting was reported at about midday in the 17000 block of Firma Court in the northern San Fernando Valley community. The caller stated they were shot in the hand, police said.

The shooter left the location, but was later detained.

Evidence markers were on the ground in front of the house.
